Artic Sea Diner

Posted by daigonite - July 6th, 2012

Despite the lack of popularity from my most recent animation, Event Horizon, I still feel inclined to finish the two part series, as it is an expression of myself that none of my other videos truly achieves. With this one I'm having a slight change in direction by giving it an actual story, but a heavily symbolic one nonetheless.

The Artic Sea Diner is a small diner where a mysterious girl dressed in black arrives. She goes order some food and play some music on the jukebox, but discovers a friend along the way. Both are rudely interrupted though as a dragon destroys the place, and thus the two join forces to defeat the dragon.

While Event Horizon focuses on mainly on denial, Artic Sea Diner will focus more on acceptance.

I really hope that no one around here is worried for my physical well being because it's about self discovery more than anything. I'm not living on my own, or disconnected tied from my mother, or anything super severe like that. I might reveal the more succinct meaning sometime but as of now I'm fairly uncomfortable revealing to the masses what it is.

I'm fairly certain when I overcome my personal difficulties that I will start making more video game related videos, but at this point this message literally secretes from my pores and I cannot contain it any longer.

Don't ever make video game related videos again! I liked event horizon (despite not really getting it) and we already have more than enough video-game related animations here. Artic sea diner sounds fun and i look forward to seeing it. Good luck!

I agree, definitely go with the original stuff, you're extremely talented, and it's awesome to see stuff directly from your own thoughts...
