What's next? We have a contest to see who's the first to shake hands with predator?
I'm not super social so don't expect me to be your best friend. If you wanna ask me stuff though feel free to talk to me.

I wouldn't be surprised, except it would involve promotion of some other already well-known artist on the site.
IT'S A FUD!!!
Self-promoting, I see. That fucker should have think about more cleverer way than this piece of dog shit.
I avoid dA as much as I can considering that ConceptArt.org is much more helpful and has a better good-to-bad ratio.
I wholeheartedly agree.
I actually voted here, but what does this have to do with art?
Typical dA focuses mostly on the "deviant" part.
It's 2012, DA hasn't been a respectable "art" site or community in almost a decade, if ever. It just breeds over-bloated self-important and self-proclaimed artist and glass egos.
It's really quite sad, actually, because if they had any sense of quality control and support, they'd actually be able to help the artist a lot. I mean, they don't even have ad revenue for the artist! So when something gets like 50,000 views, none of that revenue goes to the artist. Of course the community still wants them to stay though, since they're getting all that money from that.
Not to mention it does nothing to filter out the crap like traces or motivational posters, so people who actually have talent are unknown unless they join like 20 FMA or Inuyasha groups. I didn't break the ice there for 3 years until I started doing TF2 art, and even then that was comparable to getting 500 or so views tops (my only thing to really break that ironically were two comics criticizing deviantart's submissions). I'm not craving attention or anything but its practically impossible to break the ice there if you're not a goddamn otaku tard.
Not to mention their absolutely pathetic help system. I was a report warrior over there but not a tard one (you know, the ones that report a guy sitting on the bench naked as porn), and they cannot follow their own fucking rules for shit. I can mention easily 5 examples on the top of my head where I was banging my head at their resolution, using bullshit like "your and their definitions of porn seem to differ", when I was clearly using the rules THEY OUTLINED in the FAQ. Godfuckingdammit.
They also took a despicable 2 months to finally accept my harassment claim. You'd think that with something as time sensitive as harassment that they'd do something about it quickly. Nope. I even fucking paid for special membership there and they were absolutely worthless. So I packed up my bags finally, after observing all this bullshit, and left.
It's despicable that they even use "art" in their name.
JBKalso
What's dA got to do.with the arts? Its pretty much a social website.

It's sad that they use the word "art" in their name.
They used to be more like an art site (although nowhere near the likes of something like ConceptArt or anything), but now its fallen to this kind of bullshittery everywhere. Sometimes they pump out an interesting article or two about actual art and that's nice, but they should really focus on the "ART" of deviantART.
They had a few semi-decent polls in the last few months, but then they totally decided to jump the shark with this one. I mean, what does it even mean? Maybe I'm being overly critical but this just irks the shit out of me.
